Seeds Tutor Named a Notable Nonprofit Board Leader by Crain’s Cleveland Business

Mark Yanochko, retired owner of Mark S. Yanochko Technical Services, Inc, has been named by Crain’s as a Notable Nonprofit Board Leader.

Mark has been a familiar face in the Seeds of Literacy classroom for more over 19 years, with more than 2,344 hours of tutoring (at the time of nomination). As a tutor, he brings a unique perspective of the reality of day to day in the classroom to the Board of Directors.

“Mark is one of the unsung heroes of nonprofits. He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge and graciously shares it with us,” said Bonnie Entler, President & CEO of Seeds for the last 20 years. “Because of Mark’s generosity, we can direct more funding to our students, instead o to administrative costs. His commitment and diligence is inspiring.”

During his time on the Board, he headed the Marketing Committee for 7 years. Now an ex-officio member, he heads the Strategic Planning Committee.

Mark is a regular sponsor at Seeds fundraising events. In addition to numerous financial contributions, he is an avid photographer, donating his artwork for auctions. He also takes headshots for our new graduates each year.

Outside of Seeds, Mark is active in Tremont Art Walks and is on the Advisory Council for University Hospitals.
