U.S. Rep. Dave Joyce visits Seeds of Literacy

Seeds of Literacy had a special guest at Seeds West on Oct. 2. U.S. Rep. Dave Joyce visited Seeds to speak with Executive Director Bonnie Entler and other staff members. While at Seeds West, Congressman Joyce got a firsthand look at Seeds’ unique one-to-one tutoring model and how it enhances the lives of the students we serve.

Congressman Joyce has represented Ohio’s 14th congressional district in the U.S. Congress since 2013. The 14th district covers all of of Ashtabula, Lake, and Geauga Counties, as well as northern Trumbull County, northern Portage County, northeastern Summit County and eastern Cuyahoga County.

During his tour, Joyce also spoke with Seeds graduate and advocate Margo Hudson, as well as several current students who were at Seeds West studying.

We hope the visit was informative for Congressman Joyce and we thank him for taking the time to see in-person how literacy can change lives.
